Green is a strength, so they obviously stayed the same. Blue was teaching practice to strengthen and integrate.Orange is now more confident that it is being integrated into my planning and reading.
So next year I want to have the ground rules and role prompts, from the beginning and be referring to them daily, and then weekly.

Include Outside the class to add variety, not just read outside but be creative and act out, use the school grounds, and whanau discussion with students to build a more robust and diverse understanding of what is being read.

We have really appreciated you stepping in to support and help out other participants. I personally have appreciated all your contributions to the conversations in our breakouts and in particular, your commitment to redesigning the content from the course with your learners for such rewarding, and innovative outcomes, Your task boards and sample blog posts from ‘Hushed’ are evidence of your learners’ engagement, tied to well chosen texts and creative learning design. I loved the way you framed the task for learners to be ‘inside’ the ‘Create’, by posing a scene from the text.
I have also really appreciated reading all your professional blog posts across the RPI and the many insights you have described along your professional learning journey.
I totally agree that there is huge merit in being able to view reading practice and pedagogy through a ‘pillars’ lens and as a visible reminder when planning, to build cohesive, principled design for learning … that doesn’t lose sight of the ‘tried and true’.
All the very best for the future and some well-deserved non-contact time over the Term 3 break. Do keep in contact and continue to share the amazingness you create in your classroom!
